The first event of the year hosted by Rindi, the Gotland Student Union. Aimed at new students at Uppsala University – Campus Gotland as well as other students on the island, the event offers a great opportunity to get a glimpse of student life on Gotland and living in Visby, while also meeting new people. It’s an orientation or introductory week, but with a Gotlandic twist.

The event runs from the 2nd to the 18th of September, after lectures.
Tickets are released the 20th of August at 12:00 on Orbi.

2 September – Welcome Day
The ‘lambs’ will be greeted with speeches by the Lamningen Generals and by Rindi. The lambs will get to meet their assigned group and shepherd. The shepherds are current students who will help and guide ‘their’ lambs during the events.
3 September – Heptathlon
Team up and compete against each other in several games to win points. Comfortable clothes apply if you want to go all in.
4 September – Melvin, pimp the flag
Each team will be assigned a watermelon filled with a secret liquid… The task will be to drink and eat the contents of the melon, then use the rind for something creative and present it during a catwalk in front of the staff. Each group also gets material to pimp a team flag.
6 September – Beach Day
Team up again for a 7-a-side match on the beach fence, with water-inspired games, together with your team, the shepherds and the Lamning-staff.
7 September – Section Day
Rindi has a number of sections and you belong to one, depending on your area of study, and will spend the day with them.
8 September – Stage Day
Bring out your best performance skills for this day filled with fun props and creativity.
Bonus points if you make all the generals laugh!
9 September – Island Council
This day brings negotiation, strategy and perks to lamningen. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer…
11 September – Kalkatraz
Each team will get assigned a list of challenges and go for a ‘score hunt’ around Visby, both to do certain things but also to find objects and other fun things. The team efforts will be scored by the staff members at the end of the day.
12 September – Hang out at Rindi
Come to the Rindi castle and enjoy some board games, nice chats or catch up on your studies together with your fellow students. Maybe even have a bite of baked goods?
14 September – Guild day
Get to know the guilds and clubs at Rindi.
They are what makes the student union feel welcoming and inclusive. You are sure to find something that suits your interests or perhaps even discover a new one!
15 September – Taskmaster day
Clear these 12 tasks hand in hand with your team, fastest time wins!
16 September – Gotlandic Games
Get in the Gotlandic spirit with these fun games inspired by the island.
18 September – The Last Day
The teams will be pitted against each other in the serious and important game of ‘Capture the flag’. There will also be a show by the Rindi Fire Guild to light up the evening.
EXTRA
26 September – Lamning Gasque
In addition to the event, there is a Lamning Gasque – a kind of formal sittning or dinner.
